When is the time to act on your sense of call? In that gap year before college? As a salve to mid-career burnout? In the post-work years when horizons seem more open? In this course Burnam and Gonzalez will explore how life, call, and vocation emerge in different ways and at different times.
John Burnam is the co-founder and principal of Burnam/Gray, a nonprofit consulting firm in San Antonio that advises nonprofit agencies of all sizes from start-ups to UTHSCSA and the San Antonio Mayor’s Office on recruitment, training, marketing and evaluation of their initiatives and activities. He served as a managing consultant for the Big Give SA , resulting in helping to raise $11 million from over 100,000 donations over the course of three events. He earned a B.A. from Trinity University, a Masters of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt, and was recognized by the S.A. Business Journal as one of the city’s “40 under 40.” He lives with his wife, Niki, and two-year-old daughter, Sophia, in San Antonio.
Ada Gonzalez joined Women’s Global Connection (WGC) in 2015 after serving as a Board Member since 2014 and a volunteer since 2009. WGC is the administering partner of the Incarnate Word Missionaries program along with the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. Ada is a Ph.D. candidate, in International Education and Entrepreneurship, University of the Incarnate Word.
