How can nutrition help you fight disease? Explore ideas from various health practitioners on alternative means of treatment for diabetes, dementia, cancer and heart disease. 

Diabetes and dementia will be discussed together. Dementia is often referred to as Type III diabetes.  Cancer, the second highest cause of death in the U.S., will be next, and heart disease, the nation's number one killer, the last evening.  The instructor does not claim to diagnose or treat any individual’s health concerns.  The class represents information from the alternative perspective in the public domain and is intended solely for educational purposes and not as medical advice. Attendees should consult medical or other health professionals if they have any health-related questions or concerns. 

About the Instructor: Loretta Van Coppenolle, M.A., is a San Antonio teacher, writer and well-known environmental activist. Her longtime interest in nutrition and natural healing led to her certification in holistic nutrition. She leads a monthly Live with Nature nutrition support/discussion group and consults pro bono with people who want alternative health information.
