We will be introduced to Christian and Buddhist teachings that open the door to contemplative living and dying and the simple practice of meditation. In our productivity-driven, youth-worshiping, elder-denying Western culture, there is very little attention given to the way each moment unfolds—becomes alive—and then dies, to open up to the next moment, which passes away. We will gain a new perspective on our life today from the ancient teachings of the world’s great religious traditions.
