ADULT EDUCATION – SUNDAYS
Living our Faith (9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.)
Room: Christian Education Building, room 4
Leader: Shared, coordinated by Sandy Nicholson
This fall we will be exploring contemporary social, moral, and ethical issues from a Biblically informed, Christian perspective. How does the Church speak truthfully to a world that has been trained to largely look past the alternate narrative of the Church? On August 29th we will choose topics to discuss throughout the year.

Sunday Morning Book Group (9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.)
Room: Christian Education Building, Room 3
Leadership: Shared.
The class explores the full dimensions of religious faith through various authors. This is the perfect group for intellectually curious and open-minded folks who, in their reading, want to explore “the full dimensions of religious faith” - not just their own but others as well. This group meets during the Sunday school hour, 9:45 - 10:45 am. Members vote to select the books and take turns guiding the discussion of (usually) one chapter each week. Anyone may join at anytime.
This Fall we will be reading and discussing A New Kind of Christianity, by Brian McLaren.

Bible Study - Tuesdays (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.)
Location: Christian Education Building, Room 3
Leadership: Shared; coordinated by Jeanette Clark
The UPC Bible study is open to all UPC members, visitors and others, both men and women, interested in focusing on the Biblical text as a way to deepen the understanding of their faith and to apply Biblical thought to their daily lives. Group members consider various texts and cooperatively decide what text will be used for each study. A variety of different types and styles of texts are used for the various study series. Each individual study series typically ranges in duration from two or three weeks to six months or more – the decision on which text to use and how the study will be approached is entirely up to agreement among group members. Over the years this Bible study experience has become very special for those of us who participate. We invite and encourage you to join us in this most meaningful hour each week. If you are interested in attending Bible study, please contact Jeanette Clark (jbclark@alumni.trinity.edu or 210-828-1619) or Larry Adamson (larbunad@sbcglobal.net or 210-655-2669) for more information.

Women’s Monday Night Book Group - 4th Mondays (7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.)
Location: Member homes on rotational basis
Leadership: Shared, coordinated by Sally Lloyd
Meeting in members’ homes on the fourth Monday of each month with a new group-selected book, the Woman’s Book Group shares a salad potluck supper and a book discussion moderated by a different member each month. Guests are always welcome. Women interested in attending, please contact Sally Lloyd (210-826-4493 or sallylloyd@satx.rr.com.)
