The SoL (Source of Light) Center at University Presbyterian Church is an ecumenical education center for adults who seek to explore the full dimensions of religious faith in the 21st century.

Knowledgeable teacher-scholars create an open and respectful environment to encourage discussion and active learning.

Persons of all religious backgrounds in San Antonio are invited to participate.

The SoL Center is overseen by an interdenominational, interfaith board of directors.  They are Rabbi Samuel M. Stahl, Dr. Homer, Bain, the Rev. Rita Wilbur, Dr. Julie Miller, the Rev. Carlos Lopez, the Rev. Lib McGregor Simmons, John W. Byrd, Judy Durbin, Dorothy Williams, Catherine Burke, Bernice Buxbaum, Margaret Cairnes, Michelle Cox, Barry Hubbard.  The director of the SoL Center is Jack Jackson.

The SoL Center sponsors both tuition-based courses and free programs throughout the year.  The center is underwritten by the members of University Presbyterian Church, by friends and sponsors throughout the community, by contributors to the SoL Center Endowment funds, and by tuitions paid by course participants.

As of August 2005 the SoL Center marks the beginning of its fifth year of service to the community.

The SoL Center is located just north of the downtown at 300 Bushnell and Shook adjacent to the Landa Public Library and Trinity University.
